  • 1.  Cisco to Aruba conversion

    I am using 6400 and AOS-CX 10.6. What is the equivalent config for the following Cisco config:

    interface GigabitEthernetx/x
    switchport access vlan 80
    switchport mode access
    switchport voice vlan 88
    spanning-tree portfast

    I apologize for the duplication (5 AM posting syndrome).  Thanks for the pointer to the Cisco to Aruba command conversion guide.

     

    Is there a best config available that is for access switches using A)S-CX and 10.6. Typical, users phones, printers and AP's. plus NTP, SNMP and Syslog etc. ?

    Perhaps ClearPass Policy Manager (CPPM) would help with a simple switch configuration, dynamically provisioning VLANS and securing the network ?

    Have a look at the latest VSX Configuration Best Practices for Aruba CX 6400, 8320, 8325, 8360, 8400 (Edition 1.3 - December 2020) Technical Whitepaper document. It embeds (OK...you have to figure them out in the middle of the guide) some AGG(regate) and ACC(ess) related configurations and you can use provided examples to understand few things.

    For NTP and SNMP there are other guides (generally Management and Configuration and Security guides...look for Aruba 10.06 portfolios on ASP or on support.hpe.com).
