I'm not even sure how to ask this question, but I am having trouble authenticating with Google using Secure LDAP.   I am not using a web login or Onboard.   This is direct authentication (which could be the problem)

I have everything setup and according to the logs, it recognizes the user.   The reason I know this, is that if I put the wrong username is, it tells me its not found, but if I put an existing user in, it just fails login with authentication failed.

I followed the steps in this guide to the letter for Secure LDAP, https://community.arubanetworks.com/t5/Security/ClearPass-Configuration-Guide-Onboard-Cloud-Identity-Providers/td-p/301657

Anyone ran into this before that may have some insight?

    Thanks

The Google Secure LDAP Connector Extension is only supported for authorization.

Ok, I see that in the pdf now...

"To support real-time evaluation of attributes like groups, organizational unit, email address and overall account status, the Google Secure LDAP Connector can be used."

    Thanks Tim!
