    Posted 4 days ago

I am new to ClearPass and was trying to review back on some older threads that refer to it's tie in with Jamf. So I have two questions I guess...

    1. I am seeing where my JamfCloud instance can be added as an Endpoint Context Server; however, based on me trying to facilitate this via OAUTH2 and creating that API role and client in Jamf, I just cannot seem to get this to work. It will always report cannot reach the OAUTH2 server. I have reviewed and reviewed my client ID and secret and the only thing I can think of is maybe the OAUTH2 resource URL is not correct. The documentation on this is a little..."fuzzy" for me to say the least. Is there a current "how-to" for Jamf's current API flow?
    2. Referring to question 1, I also see and technically have already implemented the Jamf Pro extension under the Guest module. So does this add to, replace, or just another avenue to take to get that information from Jamf? Which one is the best current day approach from HPE (or is it both)?

The JAMF extension is the way forward. The native JAMF extension is starting from ClearPass 6.14 not supported anymore.

Sorry, can you clarify? Again, new to ClearPass and you are stating what's sounding like the same thing. The Jamf extension being the one found under the Guest portal to configure? Not sure what the native JAMF extension is unless it's another way to say the Endpoint Context Server. Or do I have that backward or just plain wrong?...😅

    Yeah sorry.

The native integration is under the Endpoint Context Server. This one is old and will be removed in 6.13

The new integration is based on an Extension and can be found in the Guest Portal. Hereby a link to the documentation for the new integration. https://arubanetworking.hpe.com/techdocs/NAC/clearpass/integrations/unified-endpoint-management/jamf/
