  • 1.  ClearPass disabling NICs????

    Posted Feb 16, 2026 01:34 PM

Noticing some issues where computers go to boot after being shut down, will not connect to wireless. I go to manually connect it to our wireless but the wireless option is gone. Turns out the device is getting disabled.. What is the best fix to have CP or Onguard not leave computers in a state of no wireless? A restart will fix it but it's not ideal to constantly tell these users to restart their comptuer if they have issues.

    Hi,

On client machine we can follow this steps

    https://arubanetworking.hpe.com/techdocs/ClearPass/6.12/PolicyManager/Content/CPPM_UserGuide/OnGuard/Client_side_settings.htm?Highlight=Administration%20%20Agents%20and%20Software%20Updates%20%20OnGuard%20Settings.

We can try increase the delay bounce time on clearpass

    https://arubanetworking.hpe.com/techdocs/ClearPass/6.12/PolicyManager/Content/CPPM_UserGuide/Admin/Global_Agent_Settings-OnGuard_Settings.html?Highlight=Administration%20%20Agents%20and%20Software%20Updates%20%20OnGuard%20Settings.

We can also use Radius CoA instead of Agent bounce in profile.
