    Hi Gurus,

I would like to know, if there is a way to extract records from ClearPass to a CSV file?

Did you look under Configuration, Identity, Endpoints... then there is an Export option.

    1) I've tried the steps, it actually exported all the data from Endpoint that were discovered.
    2) I've tried to filtered to a specific subnet before exporting, CPPM still export the entire database record from endpoint. Similar output as in Point 1.

My intention is to fetch data from OnGuard for a specific subnet, so it will help in generating reports for action to be taken.
Anyway to feedback to Aruba for the feature to be added?

Perhaps we can start again..... you asked initially for " if there is a way to extract records from ClearPass"..... now you've come back with a completely different ask and set of requirements..... please articulate exactly what you are looking to achieve, then we can provide our best guidance.

Here is the sample, I would like to extract the records from the OnGuard Activity to CSV. Be it from the overall or filter with specific rules record.
Definitely there is no option to do so, where can we feedback to Aruba to add the feature?

do you have look on the API ?

    ------------------------------
PowerArubaSW : Powershell Module to use Aruba Switch API for Vlan, VlanPorts, LACP, LLDP...

PowerArubaCP: Powershell Module to use ClearPass API (create NAD, Guest...)

PowerArubaCX: Powershell Module to use ArubaCX API (get interface/vlan/ports info)..

OK - Thx, this help a lot more.

So do you want to know for connected/active devices, the user, Host OS, perhaps the status of the endpoint, i.e. Healthy,Quarantined  etc.

Remember the data you show here is from from webauth that is sent by the OnGuard client as an SPT token.... is this what you are after?

Data that were sent by OnGuard client is sufficient and if it can be downloaded immediately and directly converted to csv file, that will be great.

I've actually spoken to Aruba TAC regarding it, as of now there is no such feature from CPPM, it can be added as an additional feature.
The only downfall is client will need to request this to the Aruba Account Handler to get it requested.....hmmmm that is definitely not efficient enough, as i'm expecting some kind of portal for feedback and Aruba can take it up as part feature improvement.

Well, I might be wrong on the assumption and maybe there is already some kind of feedback from Aruba portal for client to actually to do that.

So it looks like your NOT after a real-time feed which could be done via a post_auth context-server-action if you have a receiving endpoint the data could be POST'ed to, then if you're OK with a bit of coding then there are two options.

ODBC query to CPPM PostgreSQL or a JSON based filter on the Endpoint API then a second call on the EndpointInfo API.... it really depends on the data your after which is still a little unclear to me.

Or you pull the data from the Postgres DB, this will take a little exploring on your side.

    Did you try ClearPass Insight.
Under dashboard, you have a section Reports, you can Configure Custom based reports and generate a report, which can be exported in CSV.
