    I am working with a healthcare institute that has patient monitors that are being fingerprinted as Computer/Windows/Windows Vista/7/8. These devices are fingerprinted via DHCP helper pointed to ClearPass, and I reviewed the DHCP options, and they are identical to that of true Windows computers.

     

    My question is - How do I change their fingerprint, so that new monitors will also be fingerprinted correctly with a custom fingerprint we've created? I also need to make sure I don't affect the real Windows computers that are being fingerprinted accurately.

    Do they run embedded Windows?

    I'm actually not sure their underlying OS, but we were hoping to tag them in ClearPass as Device Category = Medical, Type = Patient Montior, OS = This could maybe be Windows?
