    Hi!

    We are planning to upgrade to clearpass 6..11 and wish to use iLO remote console when installing the new version. However when testing now in preperation we get a error message after a short while saying :

    "License Required
    This iLO is not licensed to use the Integrated Remote Console after server POST is complete. " .

    Is this expected behavior for cppm hw-appliance ? Do we need to buy advanced iLO license to use iLO remote console on the appliances ?

    I've asked aruba support but they are having a hard time giving me a straight answer it seems.

    Hi

    If you have a C2000 hardware server the Advanced iLO license isn't included. I don't know why but run into the same question a few years ago and bought the license separately for the servers. The Advanced iLO license is included with C3000, C3010 and the new C2020 appliances.

    Hello,

    If you look at the Herman Robers video (ClearPass 6.11 Hardware re-installation procedures - YouTube) he recommends not to use ILO for
    re-imaging to 6.11

    Better using an USB stick. Sure you will need to be on-site but it could be better to be there in case you will need to restart the system

    Yeah, but I can boot from usb and still sit in the office and not in the datacenter :) ? Just want iLO for remote console access, not boot over iLO
