ClearPass Policy Manager Web UI Simple Question

    Hello,

     

    I am evaluating some Aruba equipment and I have a simple question I cannot find the answer to yet.  If I go to the 'ClearPass Policy Manager' URL of https://IP/tips/activateSubmit.action unauthenticated it looks like I can activate my license this way.  User guides I have review makes it look like I have to be authenticated but as an un-authenticated user it looks like I can access the page to do Activiation.  So my question is do I have to be authenticated to active?  Looks to me like I do not have to be I just want to make sure I am not missing anything.

    Yes Joe,

     

    You can activate it, without being logged in. This is only for Platform license though. after you log in, you can go to Administration licensing, and apply the Application licenses there, Applications like (onboard, onguard, etc...)
