  • 1.  CLI module is running in a degraded state

Hello, i have an 'old' IAP-205 i'd like to use on my network, as a standalone AP.

The issue is I have newer AP on the same network, with different firmware version.

I noticed, even after a reset, the old AP cannot be managed. (CLI module is running in a degraded state). I guess it tries to join the existing cluster and fails.

I reseted it once again, on a separate LAN and configed it.

Even if has a new full config, as soon as it's plugged on my LAN, it fails in degraded state. How can force this old AP not to try to join the existing cluster ?

    Thank you

    Aymeric

Try a factory reset, and boot the AP up in a separate VLAN/Subnet. If the APs are L2 adjacent they will try to join an existing cluster. You can also turn off Auto-Join from the system settings on the current clusters Virtual Controller. This will not allow a new AP to join. If you keep Auto-Join turned off, you will need to add new APs manually by MAC before powering them up.

    Eventually,

I did again a factory reset on a different VLAN,
disabled auto-join on my newer AP,
and run convert-aos-ap StandaloneAP on my old AP

    It works now
    Thank you
