  • 1.  Cloudauth mpsk password length

Hi, I'm testing Cloudauth MPSK. What I find strange is that you can't change or define the password length or strength. Even through the APIs it's not possible to provide your own password. We want to integrate Aruba Central in our Wiflex solution so you can onboard byod (Azure, Google Workspace) or visitors by tablet on the Wi-Fi with mpsk.

    Currently, the only options are:

    • Random password → always generates an 8-character password.

    • Passphrase → generates passwords made up of words and spaces.

I would like to see an option to define a custom password, or at least set the length (e.g. 18 characters). Ideally, it should also allow choosing the character set (letters only, or including numbers and special characters).

At the moment, the flexibility feels very limited compared to other solutions.

Cloud Auth is developed to be as simple as possible; with that, these are the options. BTW, it's already one option more than a few years ago.

If you need more options, you can ask your partner to file a request for enhancement in the Innovation Zone. Or if you are in contact with your local HPE Aruba Networking sales team, they can help you as well to get this requested.
