  • 1.  Commit Sync Problems with mixed Switches

    Posted Sep 10, 2025 09:33 AM

    Hello,

we have two groups in Aruba Central in which we have PoE and non-PoE switches together, and mainly all switches work as they should, but Central constantly shows one of them as "not in sync", and i cant seem to fix it.
Every time i check the Config audit, the only "not in sync" config it shows me is the PoE config, but for both the PoE and Non-PoE switch. if i commit / Re-sync manually, it appears to work for a minute or two, but as soon as i reload the page, one of the switches will be back to "not in sync". if i make any other change to any of the switches config, it gets synced correctly, its only the PoE Settings that cause those issues.
It isnt planned behaviour to seperate PoE and  non-PoE into different groups just for this to not happen, right?

Different groups should be able to have different config. Are you configuring your swiches template based, UI or Multi-Editor?

we donr have any CX-PoE Switches, and the CX Switches we have are not in the groups with the sync issues, so i believe they are all UI-Based.

Yes, we can see that you have AOS_S switches.  To check the group type just look for TG icon.

TG indicate template group. For GUI group it would be very strange to try to push POE settings on the non PoE switch. If it does, that usually means, you have PoE settings on group level. Remove those settings from group level and put it to switch level.
