    Hi everyone!

I'm migrating a customer with about 10sites from locally managed to cloud managed (New Central). There are no problems with the sites with Instant/Controller systems with 500/600 series APs. For older sites with 300/310/360 series access points, the APs are reported as "Out of Sync" in Configuration Health in New Central. Checking the audit trail, I get the error "Configuration Failed to Push to the Device" for each AP and the configuration that fails to sync is the following:

    ucc
      zoom priority video 46
      facetime priority voice 56
      facetime priority video 46
    exit

I think the problem is related to the UCC (but i've no advanced license - no menù in Central) or Dynamic Application Prioritization (active globally - default_dyn_app), but I can't disable DAP because when I set it to OFF it goes back to ON as soon as I exit the menu.

    Any idea?

    Nicola

It seems you opened a TAC case already. I think the AP3xx series don't support ucc, but Central should not mark them out-of-sync in that case (but synced-with-limitations); and also you should be able to disable UCC... So please let us know when you have an answer.

I confirm that I opened a TAC case last night, 5402809899.

If I'm not mistaken, UCC is only available with Advanced AP licenses. In my case, all access points at all sites have Foundation APs. Shouldn't Central avoid pushing UCC-related configurations?

"Shouldn't Central avoid pushing UCC-related configurations?"

I would say yes, it should. But maybe it doesn't correctly under certain circumstances; TAC hopefully can find out and either find a workaround or get it fixed in Central to make it work in your situation as well.

I have had issues with 303h. The last thing I see in config push attempt is a failure on apptag and then device gets forked and does not respond to ssh. I have an ERT resource that will pick up the case, although I gave my console cable to peer so he could work this item. I asked a month ago when I was on a call with ERT if they knew of this issue yet and he took a quick look and said not reported although he will work it when I open the ticket.

I have had some other issues with items that should have been omitted although were not. More specifically with mac-auth and using "none" as delimiter. Once they were reported they were submitted pretty quickly to engineering to be addressed.

I have included a screenshot of what I would see from the ap before I would loose ssh. (show ap debug cloud-config-received)

I have a software defect open with engineering on the 3xx series in CNX. Its unclear at this time if the config should be omitted or if the AP's should allow this config. As we fully understand the features are not supported on the product line. There is a config sync issue which causes the device to not sync its config.

I guess the config sync issue is related to UCC configuration that is pushed to the 3xx series. This is a bug specifically for the 10.8 release. I believe the fix is included in 10.8.0.2 or it will be 10.8.1.0 (not yet released).

Other option is to downgrade to 10.7.2 release.

I reported it on 10.7.x. I do believe the 3xx we have in CNX synced on an earlier release of 10.5 or maybe 10.6 where they received the config before updating to 10.7. At this time ERT has to determine the intended baseline. I have asked if the config should be omitted from the CNX push or the AP should accept the config even though the features is technically not supported. I can make assumptions but I will leave the decision to engineering.

The config actually forks on this specific line. I was just sharing for others that there is a current issue with the 3xx in CNX. I had some issues migrating 315's but since the AP's were hung in an office over 1,000 miles away and I had no console. I had no way to debug the event.  I really needed the output and had no way to obtain since the AP would fail its initial sync. (show ap debug cloud-config-recieved).

enable-apptagmgr: Execution aborted, remaining commands below are not executed. (Command fail: 'This platform doesn't support Apptag feature')

Its not really a problem for us at the time as we just suggest to use a different model. I am not going to waste my teams time playing games to get AP's in the system. It will be nice when 10.8 matures, I have been waiting for the release for quite some time.

Hi everyone, with the new 10.8.0.2 the problem is solved. Thanks.

The issue I had reported was stated to be fixed in 10.7.2.3. It was an AP software defect and CNX should push the syntax.

I provided a config sample of what is expected and proper incase someone else runs into this. Even though the config is not used or technically supported on product line. It still needs to be pushed and that is the intended result.
