  • 1.  CPPM version 6.11.9 license activation issue

    Hi,

     I initially configured two VM instances running version 6.11.9 and successfully activated their licenses from the HPE Networking Support Portal. However, one of the VMs encountered a critical failure, necessitating a complete reinstall. Unfortunately, I am now unable to activate the license on the newly reinstalled VM

    The log is: License key has already been used in the past

    Has anyone else faced this problem?

    I have. I was actually on the phone with TAC about an unrelated issue where the radius service wasn't starting after my upgrade to 6.11. They did a reset on the cluster database from the cli and we had to go and reactivate the all the licenses again. They reached out to the licensing team and reset that for us so we could reactivate. 

    I'd recommend reaching out to Aruba support to have them clear that activation so you can reactivate again.

    As mentioned, if you reinstall a ClearPass virtual appliance, you need to work with TAC to move the license to your new appliance.
