Hi All, 

We manage a few Aruba Switches in Central. Is there a way to create changes on the switches and receive real time feedback on the syntax?
As opposed to editing the configuration, then attempting to commit and finding out if your were right or no?

Assume that you use template groups in Central?

With UI groups (instead of template groups), the UI will make sure that the syntax is correct.

With AOS-CX switches, you can also use MultiEdit in UI groups to do more or less what you are asking for (and on multiple switches at the same time).

From a quick read it seems that UI method would be configuring the switch via a Gui type method. 
So there is not a way to config using CLI with real time syntax check?

for CX switches, you have a choice to use WebUI and/or mult-edit

when using multi-edit, it is all CLI, in the previous screen shot when you click on the "edit" you get the follwoing where you can start adding the CLI commands.

Can you edit one switch in this fashion?

We would have to default the switches and add them into the UI option and then load a config onto them. When defaulting would they keep the management details?
