  • 1.  Custom AP group not appearing when provision AP 615

    Posted Oct 01, 2023 11:40 PM

    Hi All,

    Good day to all.

We recently upgraded to version 8.11.2.0 to manage AP 615.

We have a custom group created previously to manage our AP 303. The custom group named "IRC" as shown from the Attached photo "AP Group".

We wanted to group AP 615 into the same group as AP 303. But when we provision AP 615, the option for the custom AP group is not appearing instead it only shows the

default group as shown in the attached photo "Custom Group no appear".

Anyone can help to advise why AP 615 can't group into my custom group IRC?

Considering that you are using an MCR, best guess is that you attempting to provision the AP while at a group or MD level in the hierarchy where the AP Group in question hasn't been defined or inherited.

    Leokev,

I have found that when trying to provision an AP, but the desired ap-group is not showing up, it usually means that I am too high in the AOS tree structure (I did not drill down in the GUI to the appropriate container where the group was created).

    Thanks,

    Brad

Hi Brad, What does this mean?

"it usually means that I am too high in the AOS tree structure (I did not drill down in the GUI to the appropriate container where the group was created)."
