got. question aboiut custom fingerprint creation. I've done tihs before but always with a bit of trepidation at the thought of overwriting endpoitns with a badly formed custom endpoint.
Below are the details associates with a polycom ccx-500 phone.I always like to try having as many rules as possible when dfining a custom fingerprint to make sure i dont overwrite other devices.
In this case I'm interested in changing the DHCP.Option12 line and. the LLDP.System Description line.
For option 12, I just want to have contains "Poly", so would that be CONTAINS ["Poly"], why wouldnt it be. CONTAINS "Poly".
For LLDP system description I just want to check for Poly;CCX-CCX_500 so would that be CONTAINS Poly;CCX-CCX_500
Again whats the difference between just stating things like the LLDP version?
I know that in. Postgresql you can define an array of strings using ["string1","string2"] ...etc] perhaps thats the difference?
Anyway, plan is to have a fingerprint for a CCX500 Polycom device rather than a generic polycom ip phone. device
