well if you are seeing 169. IP address for the IAP, then it means that it is not getting IP address form the DHCP.
you can also connect to the console port of the AP to see it boot up.
if your DHCP on that switch port works, you should this kind of output info

to the best of my knowledge, there is no "show cdp neigh" command on Aruba Instant AP.
were you executing that command on the LAN switch?

@ i was configuring new iap when I connected the iap with switch lan port on dhcp enabled switch in show cdp neighbors details ,it was showing 169 series ip .my doubt is why it is not showing switch dhcp ip?
