  • 1.  Disable Client load Balancing On Cluster

    Posted Jan 21, 2025 01:19 AM

    Hi all

Is there a way to disable client load balancing on the cluster and force all clients to connect to a specific controller? AOS 8.10.0.13

    Thanks

Not that I'm aware. You could switch off/unplug all other controllers, if you have enough capacity on a single controller.

Then that may not be possible. Why would you like to force all user traffic to a single controller? If we understand the reason there may be other ways to achieve the same result.

Thanks for your help , reason i want to disable Client load balancing , Clients connected to the secondary controller in my cluster experience frequent 50-second connectivity drops (Signal Drop), occurring approximately every 50 minutes. However, the same devices connected to the leader controller do not face this issue. AP load balancing is disabled, and redundancy is enabled in the deployment

If you see a signal drop (wireless signal lost/disappearing), I would think it's the AP connected to that secondary controller. You have a mobility conductor controlling this cluster?

If you see signal drops, I would have a look at the logs of the controllers where those APs are connected to. But maybe it's better to work with support as it feels like a serious problem that impact end user experience.
