Hi, I have Aruba apin0305 and i need it to setup for eduroam (Microsoft NPS, Radius server).

I've tried to find some setup info but it didn't help.

    It is only standalone device.

I'm new to Aruba devices, so I would appreciate some help. Thanks

The bulk of the work is done by configuring your radius server for eduroam. You can follow this link for this setup

    https://www.uninett.no/sites/default/files/imce/cbp-13_using-windows-nps-as-radius-in-eduroam_final.pdf

On the Aruba side, you simply create a the wireless network "eduroam" which uses WPA2 Enterprise for authentication and you point it to authenticate against your radius servers.

Below is a link describing the above based on the old AOS 6 but similar logic can be applied.

    https://wiki.geant.org/display/H2eduroam/aruba

You are using Aruba AP 305 with a controller or as Instant?

Hi, thanks for reply, I also found that "wiki geant" manual but it didn't work. I'll try to set up aruba again tommorow and if there will be any problem, I'll write.

I have only this one aruba, so it is instant.

    Thanks, Janda

    Hi, it still doesn't work.

I went to Configuration > AP > I set Name, IP adress, Netmask, Default gateway, DNS, Domain name.

Then I went to Configuration > Security > Authentication Servers > and here I set radius server (see screenshot).

Then I went to Configuration > Network > New Network > and here I set name (eduroam), Security Level (WPA2-Enterprise), Authentication server 1 (created Radius - eduroam) and that's everything I've set up.

    Is it set up correctly?

    Can you help me?

    Thanks, Janda

Did you add the IAP as a radius client in your radius server? Does it have the right key? Do you see the request in your radius server? Is communication between your IAP and radius server allowed?

Hi, I added IAP into Radius Clients in NPS.

Key was written into Radius Client and then was copied into aruba.

I don't know how to find out that the communication between IAP and radius is allowed.

    Thanks for helping, Janda

There was a mistake in Microsoft NPS, now everything works without problem.

    Thanks for helping.
