    Hi all,

What is the significance of Min EIRP and Max EIRP?

What is the best value for 2.4 and 5 GHz?

Minimum and maximum transmit power that ARM will consider for operation on the radio.

Best value is whatever allows for the desired coverage and flexibility within your environment.  Recommendation is to set the 5 GHz minimum power 6 dBm higher than the maximum value for 2.4 GHz, this results in most dual-band clients (that don't already prefer 5 GHz) to choose the 5 GHz connection over the 2.4 GHz.

EIRP = Equivalent isotropic radiated power

This is the transmit power leaving the antenna.

For example: Radio transmit power - connectors/cable loss + antenna gain

Each 3dBm is increasing or decreasing the transmit power twice

Aruba use Aruba Radio Management (ARM) or Aruba Airmatch and automatic calculate best power settings between the min. and max. EIRP settings.

For office environments (access point 12-15meter apart) i mostly choose:

    2.4GHz: Min. 6 dBm - Max. 9dBm (8mW)

    5GHz: Min. 9dBm - Max. 15dBm (32mW)

If you not familair with designing wireless i would recommend to hire a wireless expert to help you creating a wireless design. Each environment is different and could have is own requirements.
