  • 1.  Event scripts?

    Posted Oct 05, 2022 07:36 AM

    Hi

Our 8320 Core switches randomly (not same time per month) get CPU spikes to 100% for random long times up to 2 hours. This seems to happen during non-office hours and the logs we have available have not been to much help.

Is there in arubaos-cx similar tool to JunOS event scripts to automate  script triggered by an event?

    Cheers

Hello, what is the ArubaOS-CX software version your Aruba 8320 is running on? such type of spikes remembers me something familiar (something seen years ago) or maybe I'm just mixing unrelated memories.

    Hi,

We also experience 100% CPU spikes on our 8320. Happens around once a month, lasts for 30 min - 2 hours. Running version TL.10.09.1000.
Would also be interested in an solution to this.

I haven't seen an event triggered switch option. I think you would need an NAE script that constantly records values, such as the output to top every 60s.

For the problem itself, we had an issue on many devices like this. It turned out to be a nessus scan. Blasting hundreds of auth requests to the SSH server on device. Unlikely you have the same thing but the lesson was to look externally as well as on the box.
