Good morning Everyone,
Long story short, I spent the major of my day yesterday creating vlans, making mistakes and having to redo them. I'm come from a Cisco shop, VTP.....I'm reading up on MVRP and they look to work in Juniper/Aruba environments. I think I read somewhere that MVRP will only work up to 5XX vlans, also Aruba requires uplinks ports to be trunked.
My question are:
What are some of the limitations to MVRP? Does anyone have experience with this working in a similar environment?
Two, does Aruba require uplinks to be trunked in order for MVRP to work?
One last question, if I trunked an uplink on an Aruba switch in a collapsed tier II network can I use just one port? I ask this because if Aruba requires uplinks to be trunked in order for MVRP to work then we would have to consider this in our future design.
At the end of the day, I'm just trying to decrease overhead on our environment and push our equipment to the max.
Thanks for everyone's help!!!!!!!!
