I was resently told of performance issues with aggregating two Gigabit ethernet cards together. The argument went something like this:
As more Nics are teamed together more tcp packets need to be retransmitted as they are showing up in any order. So if you bond two NIC's you performance will be less than that of one Gig E Nic.
My question is, is this true? Is it worth it to team gigabit nics?
Thanks,
Dave
