    Desperate here.

quick launch buttons (esp. wireless on/off) = dangerous in an enterprise environment.

    nx6125

With previous HP notebook hardware, I was able to disable these dumb buttons, so the users will not inadvertantly hit the WIRELESS ON/OFF button and disconnect themselves from the network.

I think I did this previously in the BIOS.

I cannot do this on the new hardware.

Anyone know how to go about this? To clarify - I want the wireless ALWAYS ON, and the user's NOT able to press that "handy" little button and turn it OFF.

    Thanks!!

For anyone still having this problem, on my 8440p, there's a checkbox in the BIOS: System Configuration -> Built-in Device Options -> Wireless Button State

Checked (default): Pressing the wireless quick launch button toggles the wireless adapter on and off.

Unchecked: The wireless adapter cannot be turned off by pressing the wireless quick launch button.

When I unchecked it, all was golden.
