    Hello,

I am new to the Aruba Community and like to find out how I hide SSID's in my Central Console? I do not want everyone on my campus to see all the SSID's I have can someone provide me some guidance in this area?

    1. Choose your Group ("Home Lab" for me)
    2. Go to devices > Config > WLANs > Edit SSID in question
    3. Under General, expand Advanced Settings.
    4. Expand Miscellaneous.
    5. Toggle Hide SSID

Just a reminder. The SSID can still be manually discovered even if you are hiding the SSID advertisements. A client who wants to look for hidden SSIDs is capable of probing for names.

    Hi Jeremiah,

As Dustin mentioned as well an  hidden SSID is not hidden for anyone wo want to see it, its just an ESSID "*" asteriskmark in the beacon frame.

An hidden SSID will not add any secuirity and can lead to device roaming issues.

Be carefull with make an SSID hidden, my opinion is that there are no good reasons to hide it.
