    Hello,

    8.10.0.19

Physical MCR and S-MCR for both active clusters
2 x active clusters, both made up of 9240 controllers (both clusters also have standby clusters)

We had some complaints of poor Teams performance, and some of roaming issues, in a particular location which led me to look at AP stats like bootstraps and rebootstraps. There are some APs with high numbers of rebootstraps which I thought might indicate an issue. But I looked at other locations and it looks like some APs have very high numbers of rebootstraps (tens of thousands, very occasionally hundreds of thousands) across our estate. It's not all APs, and due to our federated nature these are APs spread across many locations. As I understand it bootstrapping is a result of a reboot or upgrade whereas rebootstrapping is the result of missed heartbeats with the AAC during normal operation, and that rebootstrapping can result in radio resets. So what I'm trying to establish is how significant high numbers of rebootstraps are, and what effect that might have on clients? Can anyone offer some advice on this?

    Thank you,

    Guy

`show ap remote debug rebootstrap history` should give you information on why the AP is behaving that way.
