Hi everyone,

On the Clearpass dashboard, go to 「manger」ー「server・manger」ー「license」page, on the sheet of 「server」, there are two items.

One is permanent license and one is evaluation license. they are all activated.

My question is is there any way to remove the evaluation license?

with 「cluster reset-database -f」command i can delete all settings to achieve my goal, but it also delete all other settings.

I asked the response center for help and they will afford free service of deleting license by remote.

if you are ok with doing cluster reset-database, I would say, you could take the backup of the server, export licenses and certificate's. Do a "cluster reset-database -f "  this option "-f" would reset licenses, certificates. Then you could apply the permanent license and restore the backup, certificates etc.

If you have an evaluation license installed, Aruba ClearPass will give an error when you try to add a permanent licensing using "Add License".

Try this:

Administration -> Server Manager -> Licensing

Select "Applications"

Click on "Evaluation"

A new Window pops up and here you can enter the permanet license.

This is required if you upgrade ClearPass from legacy license to new-license, e.g from v6.6 to v6.8.

Legacy license is before v6.7

New-license is from v6.7 and newer.
