    Hi all,

I have an Synology and I want to use LACP (bonding/teaming) with my switch. This is a 2952-SFP Plus (JE009A) switch. Yes it's a little older, but it works perfectly for me.

So I am hoping someone can give me some information on how to setup this on the switch? In Synology it's pretty easy, however I do not understand how to do it correctly on the switch I have.

I think HP took over this switch a long time ago? I am running the latest firmware available, as far as I can tell: Software Version Release 1519P06.
If I recall correctly, I have read that this switch only supports 2 ports for LACP? Not e.g. 4? Can someone provide me some information as that well please?

Also I think this is the same switch as the HP Switch V1910-48G? It has the same "JE009A" product code. Is it better to use the HP firmware instead? Maybe newer?

Thank you so much!!! And sorry for all the questions!

    Regards

Wow, that seems to be an old switch indeed. After some research the 2952-SFP Plus seems to be a 3COM model and V1910-48G seems the equivalent HP model.

I can't find firmware for that version, nor documentation to answer your question. It's definitely no longer a supported model, and you probably don't want to run any production or even somewhat important applications on it.

Maybe others know more about this old switch...
