  • 1.  HP 2530 DHCP Snooping

    Hi

     

    I would like to know whether is DHCP Snooping feature unavailable in this switch model? I tried type in the command but it didnt recognize it.

     

    If this model didnt come with this feature, is there any way to prevent rogue dhcp server ?

    You need up to date firmware: 15.13 or above. And, for some reason, it isn't available on the PoE models.

    Hi,

    It seems a little crazy that PoE and DHCP snooping have any relation, why can't DHCP snooping be enabled with PoE ?

    We have issues all the time with rogue DHCP server so it is really important for us.

    If dhcp snooping is unavailable, you might use a port based ACL on access-ports to block rogue DHCP server traffic.

    Sigh. I just said the updated firmware for PoE switches wasn't available but that was TWO YEARS ago.
