  • 1.  HP 2610 and rate-limiting

    Hi all
is possibile to set per-port rate-limiting on 2610 switches?

AFAIK Cisco does it granurally 1mb per 1mb.
Is possibile do the same on HP?

I need to set some ports to 2mbit/s.

    Thanks.

I'm fairly certain you need to go all the way up to the 3500/5400 for rate-limiting support. The 2610 definitely does not do it.

Ok, but more or less any other vendors (also that very cheap like linksys or dlink) does it on lower end switches.

Cisco does it on 500â ¬ switches and linksys does it on 400â ¬ switch.

Why HP does it only on switches over 2500â ¬ ?
May be a next features? It's very interesting...

The 1800 does broadcast/multicast rate limiting only which is different.
