HP A5500 VLAN Gateway Configuration

    Hello,

     

    I am trying to configure the Gateway for a A5500 switch and I am executing the following commands.

    <H3C Switch> System-View

    [H3C Switch] interface vlan-interface 1

    [H3C Switch-Vlan-Interface1] ip address 192.168.8.231 255.255.255.0 

     

    Until this point I have set up the IP address of the switch.

    Now does the following command mean that it is the gateway?

    [H3C Switch-Vlan-Interface1] ip address 192.168.8.25 255.255.255.0 sub

     

    I have a computer connected between the Network 192.168.8.0 and the network 172.16.4.0 whos IP addresses are 192.168.8.25 and 172.16.4.25. I use that computer to route the communication between the two networks.

     

    I would like to access the H3C from any computer but I do not know how to set up the switch Gateway.

    ip route-static 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 192.168.8.25
