    Could you please suggest the way forward?

    Hi, that's a pretty much ancient software version...
    Could you paste the show flash and the show version full outputs?
    Keep in mind that the HP ProCurve 5400 zl Switch series went EoS (End of Sales) on December 2015...
    Edit: If I'm not mistaken, the latest K software series's build released for the HP ProCurve 5400 zl Switch series was the K.16.02.0036 on October 2022. If I were you, other trying - at best of your capabilities - to diagnose what happened on such old software version (if that is still possible), I would plan a software upgrade to K.16.02.0036 (probably with all the necessary interim steps that are required considering the current version your switch is running on...indeed is a huge step 2009 K.14 -> 2022 K.16).
