Just had the weekly notification popup in my Inbox

It shows:

5900_5920_7.10.R2432P61 available (Patches) Release Notes

Published: 3/6/2023 12:00:00 AM

Products: HPE DataCenter Switches: HPE 5920 Switch Series

Notes:

Software release 5900_5920_7.10.R2432P61

But the notes in version history just jumps from 5900_5920-CMW710-R2432P06 to 5900_5920-CMW710-R2432P61

And I currently use 5900_5920-CMW710-R2432P10 (which is not mentioned at all)

So the question is: how come it jumped to 61 from 10, unless it means 6.1 (which is "older" than 10 ?) How very confusing!

Seb

Hello :)

Well - It's confusing for me too. But just look at the release dates.

P10 was released in December 2021, and P61 is released in March this year, as you saw.

What's more confusing - in release notes of P10 there is even P09 which is not available on Aruba Support Portal O.o
And P61 release notes doesn't mention the P10 version. I would love to know what story is behind this numeration too.

That's pretty strange, it looks like that in the latest R2432P61 Release Notes there is a hole about releases between 2018 and 2022...more or less.
