  • 1.  HPE 5940 remote port mirroring reflector port

    i can try to setup a port remote port mirror trought reflector port. my 2 5940 are connected trought bridge-aggregation. i've configured all but port mirror with reflector not work...
    this is port mirror status

    [OGP-5940-NEWCED]show mirroring-group all

    Mirroring group 1:

        Type: Remote source

        Status: Active

        Mirroring port:

            Ten-GigabitEthernet1/1/11  Both

        Reflector port: Ten-GigabitEthernet1/3/24

        Remote probe VLAN: 2001

     

    [OGP-5940-NEWCED]

     

    [EXOPP-5940]show mirroring-group all

    Mirroring group 2:

        Type: Remote destination

        Status: Active

        Monitor port: Ten-GigabitEthernet1/4/24

        Remote probe VLAN: 2001

     

    [EXOPP-5940]

     
    and the bridge aggregation torught 2 switch are accepting all vlan. vlan 2001 are declared on 2 switch without mac learning.

    Hello Fabio,

    Sorry I cannot see if "undo mac-address mac-learning enable" is set for the remote probe vlan on all switches. I cannot see if the port reflector does not have anything attached to it, that the monitor port on the destination nas STP turned off and cannot see if there is an acl which might prevent the monitored traffic. Please check these.

    Hello Fabio,

    Configuration seems fine, if there is no strange configuration on BAGG 9 on source switch. You may try to remove the monitoring config and configure it again and check if this will help.

    Hello Fabio,

    Is it working if you configure only port 1/3/11 as a source and keep the reflector 1/3/24?

    P.S: I believe nothing is attached to the reflector port.
