    Hello there!

    I need some help or guidance and I hope to find it here.

    I have a Intelligent Management Platform (JG748AAE) - iMC PLAT 7.2 (E0403)

    I'm trying to create a tcl script for a Dell N1548, but it'll not work, I get this error.

    2024-10-02 21:22:22.766 [INFO (0)] [THREAD(8924)] [CTclExecutor::exec_impl()] Begin to exec: C:/Program Files/iMC/server/bin/../../server/conf/adapters/ICC/Dell/DellN1548/enter_exec.tcl
    2024-10-02 21:22:22.767 [DEBUG (0)] [THREAD(8924)] [CTclExecutor::exec_impl()] Success to set tcl var.

    2024-10-02 21:27:24.163 [INFO (0)] [THREAD(12712)] [imcscriptttol] log: =============================== End===============================
    2024-10-02 21:27:24.163 [ERROR (10)] [THREAD(12712)] [CScriptProcessor::exec()] Failed to execute by cli method.
    2024-10-02 21:27:24.163 [INFO (10)] [THREAD(12712)] [CScriptProcessor::exec()] Finished to execute, result:

    I can't think of anything else to do. I have others vendors and versions of dell switches, and they do backups.

    Hello there,

    for queries like creating custom TCL script, you need the help of the R&D teams of iMC and you can reach them out through your local HPE sales representatives.

    Your iMC version is almost ten years old and you definitely need to upgrade it. In the current version - 7.3 (E0710P04) I can see there is a support for some Dell devices; you can easily check on your server if you have support for Dell devices (during the years iMC has been adding support for different vendors and I don't know back in 2015 if we had Dell). Please navigate to iMC\server\conf\adapters\ICC, if you have a folder called Dell, open it. In that folder you should find a file called adapter-index.xml, open it and search for the sysOID of the device you want to backup. If you cannot find it, but you find similar sysOIDs, just add the sysOID in question, restart iMC and try again.

    Thank you,

    Best Regards,

    Ivaylo

    Hello,

    I just can't upgrade it, my boss has some second thoughts, since I've seen some people having problems from upgrading it.

    So I must find a way around.

    About the adapters, there were some, I just tried to edit it to the dell N1548 without lucky.

    I don't even know how to reach the R&D, the IMC has been there for years, and I'm new in there.

     About the sysOID, we did used the onde that comes with the switch when accessing it via web.

    I'm trying to make it work since it's the only one that we can't automate it.

    Hi again,

    If you have a valid contract for iMC you can call your local HPE sales representatives. They can help you open an enhancement request to the R&D team and ask them to include support for your device in the relevant iMC version.

    Thank you,

    Best Regards,

    Ivaylo

    AH, That won't happen then, they got it ages ago and it was a buyout.
    Thanks anyway, think I'll have to look elsewhere.
