When factory default and all ports in the same VLAN, the switch should be 'transparent' for multicast and mDNS/Airplay which is based on multicast. This is also confirmed by the fact that if you add the same switch to another router, that it works. Does your LTE modem allow multiple IP addresses on the ethernet side? It's hard to tell something with this generic information, and I would do packet captures to see what actually happens, but I consider it very unlikely that the switch plays a role in this problem.

Subject: HPE OfficeConnect Switch 1920S (JL385A) - unable to use multicast to cast Spotify to the speakers
UPDATE:
My current network setup is as follows
Huawei LTE modem<->HPE 1920s. If I am adding another router in between, everything works. I added a Ubiquity ER-X router, between Huawei LTE and the HPE switch, and everything is working. Once the ER-X is removed, multicast doesn't work.

Subject: HPE OfficeConnect Switch 1920S (JL385A) - unable to use multicast to cast Spotify to the speakers
Hello experts! I am spending days trying to solve my multicast issue.
I use HPE Switch 1920S (JL385A) on the latest firmware PD.02.22. The issue is that I cannot use multicast to cast Spotify music on the devices. The switch is completely out of the box, no additional configuration is made, except the basic one, like NTP, DHCP, and user account. All the security functions like Auto DoS under the Advanced Security Configuration menu are disabled by default. I want to make this switch as dumb as possible - to act like a very simple unmanaged switch. I have several AP connected to this switch. I want to have the ability to be able to cast music from the devices. I am trying all possible scenarios, like creating a separate VLAN with the IPV4 ACL. I think it's overkill for a simple multicast case. Does anyone knows the solution or had any experience with the same? Thank you!
