  • 1.  IAP 275 - power requirement, is POE 30Watt enough?

    Posted Feb 17, 2015 12:57 AM

    Hi ,

I am planning to install IAP 275 outdoor AP. A dell N 2024P swicth with POE output of 30.8 watts be able to bring the IAP 275 up?

I will connect 18 IAP 275 to this 24 port POE switch, will there be any issues?

Or Do i need to order external power supply for these IAP 275?

Thanks in Advance for the help.

The switch appears to be 802.3at compliant which means the AP-270 series will work properly with the switch. Be sure to enable LLDP as its used to negotiate power.

According to the datasheet , your switch has the ability to supply your 18 AP.

It is very important to pay attention to the Switch power Budget , sometimes even when the switch is 802.3at, it does not have enough energy to power all the terminals
