  • 1.  IAP Cluster not working properly

    Posted Feb 15, 2022 03:04 AM
    Hello guys,
I have a strange issue which Ive never encountered before. When I set up my IAP cluster (AP 275, 8.6.0.16) it looks like everything is normal. 6 APs in there, I can connect to 4 of them and i jump to the master (which is right) and I see 6 APs there. But when I connect to the other 2 APs, I only see themself in the dashboard adn the virtual controller IP. I dont see the other APs and master is 0.0.0.0...From the master I can reboot all of them, I can update... and when I am on one AP which doesnt show the "master ip", the configuration is exactly the same - allowed aps showing all 6. It even shows the same cluster-name on the top.

    I really dont get it.

All of them are right in same subnet, same switch.  I resettet them a couple of times but doesnt help. Well I now tried to go back to 8.5., but it didnt change.

Have you guys ever seen this behaviour before?

    Thanks

SSH into an AP with the issue and type "show log system" and see if there are any errors.

only thing which bothers me is: Incorrect format for message type 0:0:1:0:192.168.250.13:15200.
This warning is for every AP which is not showing up properly...

For every AP that is not showing up properly, can you type "
    show cluster-security peers

i issued the command on every ap, even the master and the virtual controller and it does not show any peer at all
"sh cluster bss-table"  on the master shows every AP with the ssid but on the other APs only themself

Can you check the clocks on all APs?

Is the same on all of them so that shouldn't be an issue

Another question – I tried to give them static IPs in a different range but they all jump back to dhcp because there is no gateway reachable. Can I disable that health-recover? I want them as mesh-nodes later on and they should be online all the time (and there is no gateway as they are just connected with eachother)
