  • 1.  IAP205 with IAP 305

We have a network that has 4 IAP-205.  We had to go and add some IAP-305 due to not having coverage.  We have Juniper switches and setup the ports for the new IAP-305 just like the IAP-205.  Plugged in the IAP-305 and they lit up no problem.  They are seen on the network.  They are not showing up in the cluster.  Looking for thoughts on what to try to find out what the problem is now and how to fix it.

    Thanks in advance

Check code version between 205 and 305

Is there way to check the version on the IAP 305 without a console cable?  I found you can't connect directly to a IAP305 with console cable like the IAP-205 due to a change in connection.  I am having to try to find the new console cable adapter.

    Hi,

Please note that IAP-205 doesnt support InstantOS 8.x. Maximum it supports is 6.5. May be 305 are shipped with 8.1 or greater.

The best way (if you dont have a console cable) is to connect these 305 in separate Vlan and let them form their own cluster. Once formed, simply SSH them by their IPs and check the version. If its on version 8.x, you need to downgrade them to 6.5
