so we import 500 x email addresses and then email their details to the parents.
Hence the need to "auto-smtp" when importing the list into the guest user database.
you can do it one at a time but that's very time consuming.

exactly,
it's got to be an email address and password.
the guest page would be a "username" and "password" backed off to the guest user database.

What's stops a pupil from typing in their parents email?

good question.
the pupils have an AD account and monitored for their usage.
They want to keep it like that.
They don't want them jumping on the guest network hence the requirement for "parent only" access etc.

So the students have no other guest wifi? What's different about this "parents only" network than the normal guest network?

the customer wants to limit usage to a specific list of emails (parents of pupils) they do not want any pupils using it.
so they have asked the parents for their email addresses.
does this make sense.
i'm open to suggestions.
cheers
Pete

I'll ask a different question. Why require login at all? Why not just a simple AUP or just an open guest network? Do you have plans to actually track device to email activity?
