    Hi

I have encountered an issue in ClearPass 6.11.11 and after reporting the issue to TAC I have it confirmed as a bug, CP-56194.

The issue occurs if you work towards a ClearPass server in multiple browser tabs and are editing role mapping policy rules.

    To trigger the bug:

    • Start edit a role mapping policy in one browser tab
    • In another browser tab, open another role mapping policy
    • In the first tab, add a new rule
    • When saving the new rule, the new rule will be added, but all other rules are replaced with the rules of the role mapping in the second browser tab!

I have run into this when editing MAC authentication role mappings and the [Guest Roles] role mapping for example, where I add a new role for a device type I need to add the MAC addresses for in the Guest Device Repository.

I have also encountered this in a more scary situation. I was working on a 802.1x role mapping. Got interrupted and had to view a MAC auth role mapping policy, so I opened up a second tab, with this role mapping policy. After a while I continued to edit the 802.1x role mapping and everything was replaced by the MAC auth role mapping policy.

This is just a heads up to be careful while edit role mapping policies in 6.11.11, I have not been able to replicate the issue on any other version.
