I am trying to install Airwave 8.3.0.1 on my Hype-V environment. (Version 8.2.x.x has been running for 1 year on this Hyper-V 2019 environment) The kernel installation runs correctly. Afterwards I can set time and timezone in the setup, and then continue. Then some problems are displayed and the setup stops. 
e.g.
Problem....
nothing provides libgudev-1.0.so.....
nothing provides libgusb.so.....

The same happens when I install the ISO of version 8.3.0.0. Does anyone have an idea what the problem could be?

I can verify that I've run into the same issue within the past 24 hours.  I'm running Hyper-V on Windows 2022 and have tried both the 8.3.0 and 8.3.0.1 .iso's  and get the same behavior.  As soon as I set date & time and continue, the install looks like it's going to run (I've installed AirWave close to a hundred times for customers), but then kicks back to the console login.

If you select Y to reinstall, it acts like it's going to do it, but does not complete.

Something is not right....

I can confirm that AirWave 8.2.15.2 .iso installs correctly (just tried it) on Windows Server 2022 with Hyper-V role.  This doesn't help me much since the underlying OS was changed to RHEL in 8.3.x and I need to restore the nightlybackup from a server running 8.3.0.1.  I'm doing a vSphere to Hyper-V migration so I need to stand up a new AirWave 8.3.0.1 server in Hyper-V so that I can restore the config.

Confirm you're VM is configured for Gen-2.

While the documentation says it has to be a Gen-1 VM, it actually has to be a Gen-2 VM.

I spun up a Gen 2 Hyper-V AirWave VM and the installation completed as expected.  It's been at least three or four years since I've deployed a Hyper-V version of AirWave, seems like most customers are using VMware.  One would think Aruba would update the documentation to reflect the need for a Gen 2 VM with Hyper-V.  Thank you for your suggestion/help!  

Confirm you're VM is configured for Gen-2.

While the documentation says it has to be a Gen-1 VM, it actually has to be a Gen-2 VM.

We recently attempted to upgrade from 8.2.15.2 to 8.3.0.1 and encountered the same issues using a Gen1 Hyper-V VM on Windows 2019. 

Spinning up a Gen2 VM, worked without issues. I think Aruba needs to update the docs for the 8.3.x branch of Airwave.

I spun up a Gen 2 Hyper-V AirWave VM and the installation completed as expected.  It's been at least three or four years since I've deployed a Hyper-V version of AirWave, seems like most customers are using VMware.  One would think Aruba would update the documentation to reflect the need for a Gen 2 VM with Hyper-V.  Thank you for your suggestion/help!

Engineering team has been notified and we are working on further testing and will update the Docs soon.

Update: Engineering team has new 8.3.X ISO uploaded to ASP site which should support Legacy BIOS on Hyper-V Gen1 and testing internally to update docs for Hyper-V Gen2 as well.

it seems, the file is not yet downloadable from ASP - still version 8.3.0.1 with date of 23rd of June is "the newest" one....
...will that file get a new minor release numer (8.3.0.2) or will the current one get replaces (then still the date should change) ?
