  • 1.  invalid input: voice on ProCurve Switch 2810-24G

    Hello,

    I am trying to enable the voice command on a ProCurve J9021A Switch 2810-24G Software revision N.11.69 and the switch returns an "Invalid input: voice" message

    MASTER# config t
    MASTER(config)# vlan 444
    MASTER(vlan-444)# voice
    Invalid input: voice
    MASTER(vlan-444)# end

    Any reason it wont take?

    I took a quick look at the release notes for your switch: https://h10145.www1.hpe.com/Downloads/SoftwareReleases.aspx?ProductNumber=J9021A&lang=en&cc=us&prodSeriesId=3356808 and there is an entry that says that the switch doesn't support LLDP-MED so the voice command isn't really useful. There is a slightly newer software available, but i wouldn't expect the behavior to change.
