Does anyone know how to override an 5412zl switch with the 10GBe SFP+ module to allow non-hp branded sfp+ direct attach cables to work?

I am trying to interconnect with cisco nexus 5000.

I know the non HP cable is good because I can link the nexus 5000 with an intel 82598EB nic, but not with the procurve 5412zl.

To my knowledge you cannot override the non-HP branded check in the switches at the moment. Hopefully HP will come with a solution here in the future.

In the meanwhile I would recommend to use a HP branded DAC cable instead.
