    Is it mandatory to have vlan interface ip in local controller that we are forwarding in tunnel?

    Hi Friend,

     

    It is not necessary to have a VLAN interface( IP) of the VLAN mapped to the L2 GRE, but you need to have a route to redirect the traffic into the tunnel.

    I hope route is required only in L3 GRE. Please clarify if i am wrong
