Wireless Access

I have a network of two computers; HP Pavilion 3700+ and a Gateway Laptop networked with a linksys wireless-g router. I have no problems with with my network at this point. Initially i had my Officejet g85 plugged into my Gateway laptop and shared it with the HP 3700+, also no problems. (for the most part sometimes it would hang and not print; i would just unplug it from the Gateway/plug it back in a all would be well). So i thought i would solve this minor problem by buying a printer server. i bought a Linksys wireless-g printer server. I have the G85 installed on both computers and have installed the linksys wireless print server on both computers.

Problems:

1. The linksys wizard says everything is installed properly but i cannot print from either computer. (i am not talking about scanning or faxing or coping). The wizard gives me an option to print a test page but nothing prints. It will not print from Word or notepad either.

2. Now everytime i start the HP 3700+ an installer program automatically pops up trying to find " PS Printers 08.msi". I cannot find this file on either linksys cd or the G85 cd.

I am sure it is just some simple setting but i cannot figure it out.

I also have a G85 that I tried to connect to a Mot WS370 wireless print server.

After setup it sends a job to the printer but it never prints and I get a printer busy message.

Motorola told me that there is a known problem with the G85 where the units other drivers(scanner,fax) interfere with the print server.

They stated that I would need to install only the print driver to avoid the error. The problem is the disk I have does not allow for only a print driver install, and the newest driver update on HP web site has only an exe file.

HP Tech support offered to solve this problem for a fee since my printer is out of warranty. I don't think its right for me to pay a fee for a known compatability issue with HP product. I have never had support for this item and If I can't use it wirelessly, I will have to think very hard about future HP purchases.
