Hi,

we have too many models of hp ad Aruba switches and we decided to enable loop prevention on the hp and spanning tree on Aruba.

Will that cause any instability in the network once the neighbors switches start communicating with each other? Should we enable the same mode of spanning tree on all the Aruba even if there are not connected directly?

Spanning tree and loop prevention are two different things. Spanning tree work on connections between switches and loop prevention work on switch-to-client. So you wont do loop prevention on ports where you connect switch to switch connection and you won't do spanning tree on ports where you have clients connected.

You generally wish to have the same spanning tree protocol used in all your connected switches.

you don't need STP if you have a flat network , STP is good to prevent topology loops,  typical campus network with core and edge switches does not need STP .. if you really want to implement STP then you need to do some research, identify primary and backup root switches, and manually configure them to be primary and backup. enable bpdu guard on the access ports, and so forth...however if you want to prevent loops just enable loop-protect on all the edge ports (not uplinks and switch to switch connects) , this will prevent most of the loops created by users ....

A typical campus collapsed core topology will absolutely require STP unless it is using some kind of multi-chassis LAG technology like VSX (and even then some form of STP should be turned on).  Does your ideal network not have any redundancy?

well, you answered your own question , you can use mcLAG or vPC , only if you are running redundant (VSX) cores with redundant uplinks. if you don't have redundant cores in a star topology, with router on a stick model,  LACP will be enough for the redundant uplinks. simplification  is the key to run large enterprise networks without down time...
