  • 1.  Lost IPM password - HELP

    Hello

     

    I have a customer who has changed their IPM password (sockroot\root secret) and have lost the new password.

     

    What is the procedure to recover\change this password ?

    Hi Neil,

     

    Please open a case with HP Technical Support. They will assist you with recovering the IP Messaging Administrator password.

    Hi Neil

     

    Found a similar topic in the forum dated 2009 that may help...see the link

    Basically refers to the use of Cygwin to view the password, not sure if it worked though...if you try it, please let us know of the outcome :)

    It did work, its on the vm_admin table in plain text.
