When I use the web browser for the switch, there are different screens that I can navigate. Which manual explains the details of each screen? I want to learn more about the different options available when I access this Switch through the browser.

browser interface is basic view, and some config capability...

i'm not sure if there is a manual detailing the browser screens...i've never looked for it, or seen it when looking thru the other manuals...

its great for basics, vlan management and general ip config, but not for detailed security and routing configs...

which tool, well to config switches, i normally use the command line interface (cli)...but i have been around this stuff for 20+ years...

for procurve products specifically, you might want to check into ProCurve Manager/ProCurve Manager+

procurve mgr is free, does basic mgmt...+ costs, but is "way cool stuff"....

(btw, i am not selling, etc, etc)...

there are other basic network mgmt utils like: whatsup gold, solarwinds, nagios, etc...

but I would suggest start with:

the 2534 management and configuration guide

the 2800 series

both have chapter "selecting a management interface" that explain the differences and advantages of the cli, menu and web interfaces.
and later explain how to configure the switch using the selected interface.
