which tool, well to config switches, i normally use the command line interface (cli)...but i have been around this stuff for 20+ years...
for procurve products specifically, you might want to check into ProCurve Manager/ProCurve Manager+
procurve mgr is free, does basic mgmt...+ costs, but is "way cool stuff"....
(btw, i am not selling, etc, etc)...
there are other basic network mgmt utils like: whatsup gold, solarwinds, nagios, etc...
