  • 1.  "Mesh link BAD" Reboot Loop (IAP-305)

    Posted Oct 08, 2025 04:37 AM

IAP-305 Mesh Point working for months, then suddenly broke.

It's now stuck in a reboot loop and never connects to a Mesh Portal. I don't know what changed and I've spent hours trying to get it working again.

The console output upon reboot indicates: AP rebooted [date/time]; mesh link BAD. rebooting mesh point by sapd

    Can anyone help?

ArubaOS Version 8.13.1.0 on all APs (305 and 635s). Yes, I'm running management traffic on VLAN 9 which has always worked for me. I have tried a hundred different "fixes" with no success. Thanks for your help!

Various console outputs from the mesh point unit:

At this point you have two choices, open a case with TAC to find out why the point with a static IP address is attempting DHCP and the rebooting on failure, or downgrade to 8.10.0.x.

chulcher, I don't feel this is a 8.13 issue. The problem began with 8.10. I've wasted DAYS on this and tried various versions and my own historic config files and swapped APs. It's gotta be something really dumb. I'm going to factory reset all my APs and try from scratch (for like the tenth time).

Do you have a case number?  Have you attempted with DHCP instead of static IP?  Can you share the configuration from the portal?
